I blame the Good Witch

If you've wandered through this blog before, especially in its previous incarnation, you know that I often speak of my close friend, the Good Witch, and I occasionally speak of her mother, the Bad Witch. You also know I don't use the Good Witch's birth name because...well, duh, I call her mother "the Bad Witch", and I'd rather not get any more specific than that.

Since I write under a pseudonym, I've given my friend a pseudonym, too. She likes being called the Good Witch -- well, she does -- her mother doesn't know she's called the Bad Witch -- well, she doesn't -- and all is happy in the land of Oz.

Until recently.

When our blog site rose from the dead a week ago, I asked various friends and family to see if all three pages jumped to life on their various computers, tablets, and cell phones. Most of them applied in the affirmative but our friend, S., reported back from his place of employment and said our web address was blocked at his facility. When he entered "anneglynn.com", it came up as a CULT/OCCULT website and his employer doesn't approve of his workers spending their lunch breaks at skeezy cult/occultish blogs like...um, this one.

S. was extra impressed because "cult/occult" came up in giant, block letters, similar to those reserved for the porn sites his IT team also blocks. I didn't ask S. how he knew that porn sites came up in giant, block letters. I'm assuming he was looking for milk.com, mistyped the last letter, and was banned from going any further.

(There really IS a milk.com, your lactose pipeline, but it appears to have nothing to do with the creamy, white liquid used to nourish mammals. You'd think it would but it's not even close. It's a music site, I think, although the word "moo" pops up a lot on one of the pages.)

It took me days to figure out why this site was getting stonewalled. There's nothing magic-ish here, nothing cool enough to be cult or occult
, nothing about Wicca...and, then, I remembered the Good Witch. Also, the Bad Witch. The two names certainly sound supernatural and I refer to them a bunch on the original Blogger site. Somehow, the Google wizards must have picked up on this and decided -- you know. *sigh*

I asked the Good Witch if she knew how to fix this and she just laughed. So I did, too. Then we both had a Skinny Cow
Chocolate Mint Ganache cone (160 calories per cone, and they are delicious) and decided to call it a day.

And how was your week?

    I'm on Facebook

... but, really, the good stuff is posted here.

    Welcome!

At the back of my paperbacks and e-books, you'll find this:

A collector of vintage Barbies and younger boyfriends, Anne Glynn currently resides in the American Southwest.

The truth is a little more complicated. I'm Anne and my S.W.P. (Significant Writing Partner) is Glynn. Together, we write as 'Anne Glynn'.

However, I am a collector of vintage Barbies and I have, on occasion, collected the younger boyfriend. Not so much these days.

    I'm glad you're here.
